Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Credit Manager to oversee our credit operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of financial services, ensuring the effective management of accounts payable and credit risk.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire credit granting process, including credit risk assessment, loan approval, and collection procedures.
  • Evaluate and approve credit limits for new and existing customers.
  • Develop and enforce credit policies to ensure efficient cash flow and minimal credit risk.
  • Manage accounts receivable and collections, working closely with clients to maintain positive relationships while ensuring timely payments.
  • Analyse financial data and trends to forecast credit exposure and recommend strategies to minimize risk.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing credit team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a credit management or financial services role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, Sage, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
